Chair shiatsu was developed in the USA in 1986 and has become increasingly popular since then. Seated chair shiatsu is an immediate stress buster, working to relieve tired aching muscles in the short term and due to its ability to relieve stress, maintaining overall health in the long term.

The sequence is based on traditional Japanese bodywork systems. It incorporates over 60 specific stress release points on the head, neck, shoulders, arms and back to leave the client relaxed and calm yet energised and alert.

The sequence has been designed to produce the maximum results for the client in 30 minutes. Received fully clothed, it can be given anywhere.

I offer chair shiatsu from my treatment room in Ashington. However, the chair is very portable and therefore useful for the office environment, exhibitions, fairs or health events.

One off treatment events can be accommodated upon request.

Recipients will be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire in order to ensure they are safe to work on.

I am fully insured and qualified with the European Shiatsu School for seated body work.

The chair shiatsu is a specific sequence that is carried out, takes 30 minutes at £20 per session if carried out at the Ashington treatment room.

The chair shiatsu sessions differ from the shiatsu carried out on the futon in Ashington in that floor shiatsu takes 60-90 minutes and is tailored to the individual according to the imbalances in the body.
